A friend of my mother's moved to Texas from up north. They killed a rattler in the flower bed, husband cut it's head off and then got bit when he picked the head up. Took a bunch of shots and still lost some fingers

He should have stayed up north. These dipshits moving into Texas are what’s ruining our culture.

On a positive note Lillygrace looks great holding a dead snake! Keep up the good work.

Good riddance!

Our rattlesnakes were out Sunday evening ahead of the cold front and my son and I tied with 2 each....but dad wins because I got the two big ones. The 5th one on the fence to the left was one he killed 3 days earlier that was coiled up under the hitch of my JD round baler under one of the barns right next to where he'd been welding all day long!

And, the old german wive's tale of hanging em on the fence to get some rain did NOT work again.

Fantastic, kill them all.

That’s the way I like to see C-Heads. For some reason rattlesnakes don’t bother me much, but those do. Seems like they are on the move right now, my son and I have seen more around the house and shop lately.

I have killed 9 so far this year, more than I have killed since 2004 combined here. My neighbor though seems to have them more consistently and usually 5-6 a year, so I probably don't see most of the ones around.
