So hold old is a snake like that? My guess would be 5-7 years averaging three sheds a year. Was a nice mature snake. Curious where you found him. Near a residence or out in the boonies?

And now he/she is a good rattlesnake! Too bad it wasn't found and killed 5-6 years earlier before it had a chance to reproduce.
