The puffer looks like a good option. Even though they promote it as something new, air ride seats have been around for many years. Kudos to the guy that capitalized on modifying them on mowers.

Some years ago I added an air ride seat to my Kubota 4400, which was beating me to death. Grammer, a German outfit makes them. Cost me $1000 for the seat. I installed it, but had to get Kubota to wire it up. Worth the money, for sure.
On the mower, the wife is leaning toward Ferris.

I’d look at Scag, Exmark, Hustler. I’ve owned or used all 3. I’m pretty sure there will be good suspension seats available on all 3, at least in the commercial lines. I would go commercial if you can because they’ll last you forever if you keep up the maintenance. Exmark Lazer Z, Scag tiger cat or turf tiger, hustler super Z or Xone.
Scag turf tiger 2 is hands down the most beefed up, heavy duty zero turn out there IMO (at least of those that I’ve looked at). Hustler also makes a good HD mower. Exmarks are a little lighter, provide the best cut in quality turf. You see mor3 exmarks on commercial mow trailers than any other brand in my area.
With hustler You can also get flex forks, which basically add some shock absorption to the front casters.

I understand that your ranch includes several acres. How many acres in your mowing area?

I’ll guess and say I mow (shred) somewhere between 12 and 15 acres. The wife does maybe 2 acres. Happily, the hay guy does the 25 acre hay field. I might get a third cutting this year. Never ever have had 3 cuttings.
I just finished the back pasture this morning. Wet Johnson grass that was as tall as the tractor. Slow going. The wife wants to shine the place up for Tuesday’s visitors. Her oldest brother’s ‘love child’, that we all just found out about, is coming to spend a couple of days. She hasn’t yet asked me to weed eat everything, but I know it’s coming.
The wife had her DNA tested, and the ‘love child’ homed in on it like a heat seeking missile. The brother that caused that issue won’t speak to her now. He’s really mad. And my youngest brother, who heard all about this mess, is pretty worried. Said he had ‘relations’ with who know how many gals while in college. He spent 7 years there.
The wife can’t wait to meet this guy and his wife. Me....who cares...
Guess I wandered a bit away from the mower topic, but I know you guys love a little gossip.
