Any of y'all chew tobacco? One of my shop guys dips some knock off wintergreen stuff. I like to get a dip from him once a week or so. But that's not real men chew. I was at the gas station this morning and saw packs of Red Man. Got me thinking. I don't see many if any people chewing anymore. I almost bought a pouch to try it out. I might go back this afternoon and get some.

Chewed Levi Garrett for years, dentist told me it was wearing down my teeth because I did chew it and not just let it sit there. I switched to Skoal to stop the wear many years ago.

My mom is a retired dental hygienist. She would be livid if I told her I dipped/chewed.

started off with plug chewing tobacco (bull of the woods & a couple of others), then to pouch (Beechnut, Redman, Levi Garrett) ... guy that worked for my dad told me to take a slice of apple and put in the pouch to keep it fresh ... seemed to work but then the apple molded/mildewed souring the rest of the pouch, made me sicker than a dog sick ... only used it while working outside or on the tractor growing up ... decided to be in the cool kids group and started smoking (Marlboro reds in the box) for a year or so, met my to be wife (more country) and switched to Copenhagen, that was circa 1974. I used to keep a pouch of Redman or Levi Garrett in the glove compartment of my truck for while building fence or doing tractor work ... but haven't had any in years now.

Quit years ago and would not recommend anyone to pick up the habit. But if you think you must, Red Man Golden Blend is where it’s at.

About 25 years ago, my dad came home. On New Years Eve and announced he was making a resolution to start smoking. This sounds like an equally bad idea.

I was at Buccees a couple days ago. I think it's cheaper to chew. Beef jerky is expensive.

I chewed Levi Garrett for years, quit about 8 years ago, and haven’t looked back. The last time I looked at the price of a pouch in the gas station, it was around $12 a pouch, cheaper to drink beer cheers

I used to go through a pouch and a half a day

I used to chew a brand called Lancaster, years ago.
Especially liked it when I was out fishing, 'cuz I could keep my hands free for catching.

You could follow the "trail" to my boat back then.

Quit all tobacco products thirty years ago.

I gave it up in 2009 after 20+ years of chewing. They raised the taxes and my tight a$$ wasn`t paying 6-7 dollars a pouch. I wish they would have went to 10.00 a pouch years ago and more people would never start. Money was the deciding factor for me.

Good advice listed below !!!

DON`T START..

I dipped Copenhagen snuff (the original) from age 8 to 38. After my doc showed me some pictures of mouth cancer, I decided it was best to keep my jaw then keep dipping. I REALLY hard to be around for the first three weeks after quitting! That was 12 years ago, and I still find myself thinking about picking up a can, but.....self control gets the better of me.

100% don't. If you never pick up the habit you never have to go through quitting.

I started out chewing at 13-14. There was a tobacco store in Town East Mall - pretty sure a gay old man ran it. Was in there one time with my Dad when he was getting pipe tobacco and noticed they had all kinds of their own homemade chew. My Dad had some other shops to hit that I wasn't interested so I ended up back in the tobacco store (not sure how as I didn't look anywhere near 18 - guessing we had a diddler on our hands that owned it)...old man says what do you want? Left with a bag of tropical flavored chew. Best tobacco I've ever had. Old man would sell me whatever I wanted for the next 4 years - cigars, chew, pipe tobacco. Thus started a nearly 25 year bad habit. Glad I quit.

I chewed long leaf and plug tobacco since about 13.....I quit three years, three months, one day and 21 hours ago...

I want one every day! The struggle is real....

Don’t start if you don’t...
