Living in Southeast Texas I'm used to the hot weather for the most part. It gets old this time of year when North Texas is cooling down and its still hot as hell in South and Southeast Texas.

I typcially do not hunt but the last week or so of bow season even though I really like to bow hunt. Its just to hot and at times not much movement.

I'd guess opening day of bow season for many of us will be high 80's low 90's.

I hope it cools down for gun season, not much fun setting in a blind sweating.

I'm not a very good weather guy, not sure when it will cool down this year, typcially third week in Oct. South and Southeast Tx gets a slight front. I could stand a good rain on my food plots too.

I wish I had a good crystal ball weather forecast machine, I could plan my days off to hunt. This work things seems to get in the way of hunting and fishing.

Thanks, Billy

LOL cool down? In south texas its only cool during the fronts, in between it will be in the upper 80's damn near all year.

We hunt some during bow season between working etc. but yeah you sweat a lot and in ground blinds/hides like i sit in ticks are a huge problem.

It's hell eatin em live

Yeah it was hot hunting South Texas/Mexico.

Years back when I hunted South of the Border in Mexico. We were leaving the ranch the second day of Jan as I recall, I want to say 1999, it was hot has hell. Drove down the ranch road to the gate, stopped while my hunting partner opened the gate the temp on my truck read 101. Hotest day in Jan. I ever recall.

I froze my arse off a time or two late in the year, Webb and Dimmit Co. when I hunted South Texas, but not many. I doubt I ever recall it getting very cold hunting in Mexico.

The difference in temps between say Corpus where I used to live VS Houston can be quite a bit different. I think I only recall below freezing two times in the 13 years once, 3 another is Corpus. I miss the 1 hr 45 min drive to my deer least in Dimmit Co in the late 80's. Oh well times change.

Thanks, Billy
