I've always been fascinated with cooking in a wok. Never had one, never had the opportunity to try it. Anybody here got one?

I have one, a real one that I got at a local oriental food store, about 22 inches in diameter, too big for a stove,, but works on a turkey fryer burner. Used to use it mainly for party time, it was mainly potluck type meals with an oriental flair. Cut up a roast into bite size chunks, season it with an Asian meat rub, fry the meat in a little corn oil, and add all kinds of chopped vegetables. We served that "mess" over rice and beans. You can feed an Army for cheap.

I have one that is free to a good home. FOB my house. It has a little flat circle on the bottom which allows you to cook on an electric burner.

We have a 14" Maxim electric wok that we have used for many years. It is fantastic for any dishes you want to cook fast and hot. My wife excels at stir-fry grouse and veggies during hunting season!!! The link below for cast iron is one that my buddy uses for cooking most things in elk camp. https://www.amazon.com/Jim-Beam-Seasoned-Construction-Grilling/dp/B07FBJ6QKW

I've had that exact one for several years Duke. It's excellent and gets used a lot.

I have this one. Be sure to follow the instructions to remove the oil on it when shipped and season it properly and you'll have yourself on fine wok

If you can find one like this it works good on the stove top. I found this on eBay, but in Arlington there used to a huge Asian market that sold a lot of Asian foods and cooking supplies, is where mine came from.

I have a thick heavy duty wok I bought at Walmart. Works like a champ on an electric stove.

That whole area is still up and running. Between cooper and Collins? That is the area, used to occasionally ride up there with a guy I knew that shopped there about once a month. He was my supplier for our supply of import beers.

Gonna have to write them a note next time when I order that says “try to hurt me” when they ask how hot. 5/5 seemed like maybe 3/5 but it sure tasted good!

My mom had a wok and she’d make stir fry in it on our gas stove. It had the rounded bottom then we got one of those flat top stoves so my dad heated that wok up with a torch and hammered a flat spot across the bottom. He used one of the fence posts at the lake when we were out fishing one weekend to get the flat spot diameter right. My mom used the crap outta that wok until all ya kids moved out.

I had one like Dogcatcher had, cooked a deer meat stir fry on it that was awesome. Somehow lost the recipe.
