I've never liked hot tea,
Warm water is tolerable

A shot of apple cider vinegar

It can be a blood gas thing.
Just enough exercise to get my breathing rate higher usually cures them for me.

I get the hiccups a lot when I eat spicy foods and I eat quite a bit of spicy stuff. I can almost always get them to go away with

-holding my breath
-slow deep inhale/exhale
-slow drink of water

Fill you lungs 100% full of air, it is impossible to hiccup. Hold it as long as a you can. This normally does it. But exhale and do it again, for sure it works second time. If you hiccup holding your breath, you didn't go 100%.

I used to get them bad as a kid, would get them at night and wake up with them. My mother even took me to the dr a time or two.

I used to get them bad when I dipped snuff and drank beer like they were going to quit making it.

I do not get them much anymore.

The best cure is to eat something, hambuger, sandwich, whatever. Eating something seems to work better for me than anything.
