Wow, freak accident is right....... I can’t help but wonder how he didn’t wake up from the sound of the harvester before it could run over him....

While some might see it as too burdensome, I've never had an issue with the landowner of my lease asking that I let him know whenever I plan to be on his place. There are many things that can happen on an active ranch or farm that could interfere with hunting activities.

Dang. Way back when, we used to do deer drives in MI by placing hunters in the woods and then harvesting the corn. I rode on the roof of the combine with my 12 gauge and 00 buckshot.

Based on what I've read and seen, today's farm equipment is often far more automated, not to mention how operators are now surrounded by a much quieter cab. I'm not in any way trying to find excuses for the accident but only pointing out that despite all the advances, farming remains a very dangerous occupation.

I see this more of a freak farming accident than a freak hunting accident. There is some weirdness of the story. It would be interesting to find out what the autopsy reveals about the boy.

A ridiculous headline !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What does falling asleep in a field have to do with hunting. Kinda hard to believe that one could sleep so soundly that you couldn't hear a combine approaching they ain't so quite

Incredibly sad. Could be more going on, but kids that age can sleep through anything. I joke my boy could sleep with a freight train going through his room. Their bodies are growing and when the konk out they are OUT.
