I've got an Anderson Zombie Certified (What ever that means) needing a red dot that will work with the Magpul MBUS flip up sights in the down position. I'd like to keep it as low profile as possible. Nothing special about the rifle so I don't want to stick a bunch of money in a sight, It will ride in the truck. Anybody have a similar set up and what are you using?

Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

I have a vortex sparc, I bought it from palmetto state Armory on a deal that came with 10 pmags for $199 they still sell them like that if you get on their email list but the vortex sparc cowitness with the magpul BUIS very well and it’s easy to use.

Use both the aim point pro and the Romeo. I would save the cash and get the Romeo imo. But I just hunt and casual shooting. No matches or anything.

Really comes down to budget and use. I don’t consider an Aimpoint PRO inexpensive at $350-$450. If I was planning on going operator, an Aimpoint would be a good investment at said price. The Romeo is no slouch of an optic at its price point, I’m a huge fan. They pass tests I will realistically never put an optic through. I’ve had the Romeo, PRO, Aimpoint Micro, and a few others. I have zero hesitation recommending it as a great budget optic which is what I interpreted the OP wanting.

I have five recent Sig optics, including the Romeo5. They are all top notch.

This

The Romeo5 is a great optic for a damn good price.

Ive owned dots that cost 4 times what I paid for the R5 and the R5 is every bit as good and better. It doesnt eat batteries.

The PRO stand for Patrol Rifle Optic. It’s got features important for patrol officers, not so much competition

Yeah I understand what it stands for. Like I said I’m a casual shooter. I put the dot on the target and shoot. Glad he saved some cash.
