Maybe a long shot. I haven’t ever fished lake Conroe. Son just got into catfish after moving right off of the coast. He really wants to go fish tomorrow. Anyone know of any public areas to fish that are worth a dang? Thanks.

I have yet to be able to find a good place to fish around Houston... I've found that everyplace is crowded unless you have a boat or are up for a hike with fishing gear. My kids love to fish but are only 6 & 4, so no long hikes in the near future. Haven't tried any fishing piers in Conroe, but I have tried a few places along the bank around the camping areas of SHNF....crowded.
