Anyone carry a Glock 26 for daily carry? What are your thoughts? Experiences with it? Considering getting one to carry IWB.

I've carried several of the subcompact pistols for a while. IMO, they are too small. They are great for a small CC, but difficult to draw from and a little more challenging to be accurate with it. I switched to the G23 compact, which is the mid size (same size as the G19 in 9mm). I think it's a perfect size pistol for a CCW. My brother carries the subcompact G27 in 40 cal, and he thinks it's a little too small also.

I CC anything from a Glock 43, 26, Sig P320 to a P226 with tac light and extended magazine. Depends on weather and clothing. The proper holster makes all the difference in ability to conceal, be comfortable, and draw efficiently. Also practice, lots of practice, not just shooting, practice clearing the clothing- drawing- and coming to sights

I cc the 26, and with the proper mag finger extensions, I think it’s perfect. Heck, last time I pulled both out, I shot my 26 better than my 17.

I will probably end up replacing my G26 with my new G43x MOS as my daily carry gun- higher mag capacity, less weight, slim, optic/light ready.

The resounding benefit with my G26 is mag interoperability with my G19 (another carry option, most often OWB) and my G17 duty gun.

Back when I was buying crack, I would carry the 26. Mainly because I could have a 30 round mag in glove box if I needed it.

But for carrying around town I have a 43 with ext mag, plus 2.

I love that gun. Like any handgun, it's a compromise. It is harder to shoot than a g19 or 17 sized gun, but it's more portable and you will probably carry it more. It is much easier to shoot than the pocket-size single stack guns. It just depends on what compromises you are willing to make. The G26 isn't as good as a service size gun, but it's better than what most people carry concealed.

I had a Glock 26 for a while, and it was too small, and I didn't shoot it all that well.
I sold it and picked up a S&W Shield and a DeSantis holster, and I don't feel like I have it on, and it shoots where I point it every time.
It's personal preference, and I have a full size Glock 22 in 40 caliber that I will never get rid of.

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

Sub and midsize .40 glocks have some extra suck recoil involved. A 26 is fine

Glock 26 is a great carry gun IMO. I carry more than any other pistol I own.

Carried either a G19 or G26 daily for years. Recoil mitigation is a little tougher with the small grip on the G26, but that can be overcome by diligent practice. I carried the G26 with the small mag inserted, and a G19 mag as spare. Great system.

I've had a CHL since you could get one in TX and no telling how many guns along the way. The only real use I could find for the subcompact Glocks 26, 27, 33 etc. (for me at least) was as an back-up, ankle gun when I was LE. They didn't carry comfortably IWB for me, I had to have a grip extender to shoot them anywhere near acceptable and with that I could conceal a mid-size like a G19 or G23 as easily OWB. On the other hand I used to compete in the Glock matches and had a buddy in AZ that lived with a G26 and wouldn't trade it for anything. With my busted up back and belly I'm carrying a Sig P365 in a pocket holster more and more. I bought one after the initial run that had issues and am OK with it.

I generally like slightly bigger gun. I carried a HK P2000 for 5.5 years - and I switched to a Glock 19 last month. I don't really care for those little subcompacts. I have owned many, many over the years.

Now, I carry OWB, and I use a slightly larger gun

Carried a 26 for years, it worked well, IWB, for me. That being said the new 43X and 48 carry better IWB for me. Gave the 43X to my wife and the benefit for that is we both have the same size magazines.

And with the Shield Arms 15 round mags you get the capacity of a Glock 19 in a slimmer package.

I have a glock 19 and my wife had a 26 before we met. I had carried my 19 before her and started carrying the 26 after marriage.

Without any other conditions and qualifiers, I'd prefer my 19. I still carry the 26 from time to time, in the same holster in fact, but I prefer my 19. The 26 was too small mostly because I'm a bigger dude, 6'0" - 185#, so the 26 was just a little too small for a great grip. I mean I wouldn't hesitate to whp it out and use it but I am supremely more confident and consistent with the larger 19. Honestly, it's barely any bigger when carry but makes a huge difference to me when handling.

I'm a dude who likes long barrels!

have carried a g26 for 6 years now,no complaints from me. Inside waist band holster,or sometimes just put it holstered in my front pocket.

If any of you 26,27,33ers need a holster I’ve got a very nice Safariland inside the waist band I no longer need since moving to the sig 365 I’d let go of cheap.
