I picked up a couple at Tom Thumb (also owned by Safeway) also and had the butcher grind one up for burger.

Dang, I haven't bought beef in several years. From what you guys are posting, i need to take my brother (raises wagyu) another bottle of good bourbon, or maybe a SnoopDog red.

I plan on stocking up on all of these specials. These steaks are the same special prices as they were when I quit managing a meat market in 2006. Good deal here.

I do not like the St Louis ribs with all the heavy meat on them - I like true Baby Back ribs

I am not a big rib fan myself. I had rather take a pork butt and make country style ribs. No bone to deal with and way more meat.

Me too, I was around when the butcher ground skirt into their hamburger meat (1978). Then fajitas hit, you could buy skirt for .99lb IF you could get the butcher to save you some, or find a Mexican Market.

We are getting a butcher shop in town! Been a long time since we had one. It opens tomorrow, I’ll be checking it out. And they are serving beer from one of the local breweries! Win- win!

Big HEB family here.

Although for meat for the smoker, I keep an eye on Randall's ads and online app. They recently had brisket for $1.49 or $1.59/lb. Also picked up pork loin for $.99/lb.

No sense in me looking for meat for the smoker this weekend, I forgot to cover my wood. It’s soaked bang

Still got dry charcoal, will look for a nice ribeye to grill on the Weber.

A pear burner will take care of that quick. I don't ever cover my wood.

Beef is too expensive now, but pork is cheap if you like that.
