Mk, I just purchased my 1st shotgun and I don't know very much about shotguns.
Its a Mossberg 500 12 gauge pump in 3 inch. Here is the question:
Can I shoot a 12 gauge 3 inch MAGNUM slug with it?
Need answeres fast! Thanks!

if your barrel isn't riffled slugs could damage your barrel.

there are some slugs that don't shoot well out of non rifled barrles. just make sure you get the right slugs.

If you shoot them out of an IC, skeet or cylinder bore barrel of a normal 3" chamber barrel. Mossberg sells an inexpensive rifled slug barrel with sights or a scope rail as an accessory and I would recomend you purchase one. It will give you accuracy and safety.

This is just a cylinder barrel. No choke. Used unrifled slugs in an unrifled barrel. Any problems with that? Shot several times today and just checked over it. No damage I can see on the inside so I guess everything was ok.
If you can't fix stupid, lets at least exterminate it.
