Each are good guns...but IMO the Tikka is the best of the group!

If you are considering the Weatherby, save some money and buy a Howa 1500.

Stevens by Savage for the money. You will need to paint the stock however you want. Dont like the grey.

I thought about that too. But after looking at the Howa I went with the Vanguard. The Howa was cheap feeling in the hands. The stock almost felt rubber and looked cheap to me. JMO

I did not get that feeling with the 1500 & Houge stock. I liked how it felt and the balance was good but I was handling a 300wsm but I don't think that should make any difference.

Well I have personally owned the Savage 111 in 243 and the Weatherby Vangaurd in 243. The Savage stock felt cheap compared to the Weatherby, but the Savage grouped better. I had 1/2" groups @100yds w/Savage and 1" Groups w/Weatherby. Savage has been hands down the most "out of the box" accurate I have seen, but I prefer the extra weight and fell of the Weatherby and am currently fixing to order another in 25-06

Savage is the best bang for the buck... (Sorry, somebody had to say it.)

But can't really go wrong with any of these gun's.
