JMO I did not get that feeling with the 1500 & Houge stock. I liked how it felt and the balance was good but I was handling a 300wsm but I don't think that should make any difference.

The Savage stock felt cheap compared to the Weatherby, but the Savage grouped better. I had 1/2" groups @100yds w/Savage and 1" Groups w/Weatherby. Savage has been hands down the most "out of the box" accurate I have seen, but I prefer the extra weight and fell of the Weatherby and am currently fixing to order another in 25-06
