The Grapevine-Colleyville ISD Board of Trustees voted on Monday to approve a total tax rate that is 2.36 cents less than the total 2019 tax rate. The 2020 total tax rate will be $1.3031 per $100 valuation for the 2020-2021 school year.

The total tax rate consists of two separate tax rates: Maintenance and Operations (M&O) and Debt Service. The approved 2020 M&O tax rate is $0.9664, and the approved Debt Service tax rate is $0.3367.

Hopefully it’s a trend state wide.

Why don’t you toss some of that down the hill and I can catch a little as it rolls by.

More wealthy school districts do that, since most of the money goes to poorer school districts.

It’s only .0236 per $100. Ever little bit counts though. If this was a blue city probably would of went up 1.00 per $100, due to increase daily school uv and chemical treatments, all while students are remote

Forney proposed lowering $0.09 per $100 appraised value. A whopping $378 savings for me. I’d gladly pay that $378 to have my kid go to the schools that are less than 3 miles from my house instead of driving across town because some idiot with a marker fukced up the district lines

Don't worry they will raise the valuations to make up the difference.
