We have a system for when we take these long driving vacations....this is extra stuff we will be carrying just for the Canada/Alaska trip....12k+ miles as roughly planned through backroads and byways....

For this specific trip because of the remoteness of many roads, the conditions of the roads, and the limited access to assistance I have been told to take two full size spares and extra fuel.

I am simply trying to figure out the best way to carry these extra items in a manner that is efficient and does not interfere with our normal setup.

Just remember Semi pistola is a no go in A’ And you bectcha land.

Snake I get ya cheers I’m same way, why I have a camper shell on my truck. Technically I live in my truck to a part of hunting season also.

No pistola is the one thing I hate about this trip but as planned we will cross the US/Canada border six times plus at least two ferry rides....

I simply don’t take off on a 12k mile trip with an extra T-shirt, a toothbrush, and a pack of gum....

What do y’all recommend? I saw this one the other day and it seems like what I was thinking. Needs to be deep enough to carry a couple full-size spare tires on the rim and 2-3 five gallon gas cans.

Let me know what you think....Thanks!

I have one of those we use from time to time. It still works great

That is our hope...figure this corona crap will have played out by next summer. Starting to make preparations to go and will adjust as necessary. I was about to this point in preparation earlier this year when everything shut down. I am just now picking up where I left off only now in preparation for next year.

I've got a hitch carrier if you want to borrow it. I use it once a year maybe. Its solid. Probably the widest and heaviest one available.
