Does anybody else hunt Guadalupe county? Curious to see if anybody wanted to share deer that they were seeing or had harvested. Turned on the trail cams today at our place.

There are some spots producing some really nice deer. South and SE of Seguin seems to be a hotspot right now. I have a cousin on a small lease on the river bottom and the past 3-4 years they've shot some really nice bucks in the 130-140 range and have some bigger ones on game cam.
Another cousin used to be on another place towards Leesville and they killed some fantastic bucks. His best was 167 and the best off that place was low 180s.
I can also tell you in far west Guadalupe county near Cibolo, there are some really nice bucks as well.
High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

I hunt there.. We have shot some nice deer over the last 10 years.. really depends on the property
Unless it's a MLD that feeds protein I wouldn't expect to take deer over 140. Truthfully, a 140 buck is a damned good deer.

Quality improved big time when the county went to one buck only. Before that all those peoples shot the 1st buck they saw and then hunted for a bigger one.
Geronimo Creek water shed has long been known for some good harvests. Kingsbury has a stable population of mellanistic deer.

Buck Fever, one of the best family oriented hunting shows is typically held every October at the Seguin Coliseum. People have doubts about this event until they actually attend.
Don't know if it will be held this year, but next time it is here, make plans to attend.
