Wife said Aug13 our contract is up with 4 change. Which I think has been a ripoff, bunch of fees.

I used 2036 Kilowatts last month for 450 bucks.

I’m thinking about the free nights and weekends. Then program my thermostats accordingly.
Anyone have thoughts on this particular program?

I always use power to choose. But sometimes all the fees are not clear for some companies. They can be deceptive.

Look at Constellation or Brilliant if available in your area.

And on powertochoose, make certain you sort via 2000 kw plans, not 1000 kw plans.

I used the same as you or more and on brilliant mine was $192

Look at First Choice. $.083/kwh at 2000 for a 3 year plan. Forget the gimmick plans. On the other days you are looking at $.21/kwh.

All these rates are specific for certain areas of Texas and not the whole state. You need to go online and find the right deal for where you live.

Been with them a couple of years now and I have zero complaints. They are upfront about the rates and contract renewals. No more contract expirations and getting gouged by providers. I don't have the time or inclination to play contract games with provders.

You couldn't do worse throwing darts. You are now paying almost 25¢ per KWH.

Energy Ogre has worked great for me. I'm in at 8.5cts/kw.

Im on my third year with energy ogre and have zero complaints. Before using them, I shopped myself using powertochoose rates. If you have the time it’s not that hard to make a spreadsheet with your past usage and current market options. I’m happy to pay ogre their service charge for doing that work for me.

Not for me. My net rate is lower and took me maybe 5 minutes

I’ve used it for three years and couldn’t be happier. Easily worth the $10 a month to not think about it or deal with it. And my summer electric bills were cut in half.
