Anyone here use this feeder? 325 lb Feeder

I have usually stayed away from Game Winner stuff but the reviews are good and it looks pretty nice in person. Needing to get a couple new feeders for our place and I need something racoon proof.

I saw it the other day at Academy, must say I was impressed with it. But I have no experience with using it.

I have looked at them, but I'm just not a fan of Stand & Fill feeders. I like my feeders up high.

For the money they look like decent units though. If you decide to buy, grab some silicone. Before you fill it up, inspect it well and seal all cracks/seams/rivets/holes whether it looks like it needs it or not. Let it dry and then fill.

I've bought a number of Game Winner feeders over the years because it was last minute or whatever, they always leak if you don't seal them up good. If you do seal them up good (especially the spinner) then you will get much better life out of them.

I've got the old round version of that feeder. It's been in the field for about 5-6 yrs now. I have converted it to 12v and removed the cage, for a bigger spread diameter, but the original 6v timer that came with it still worked before I changed it. It will take about an hour to assemble, and like skinner mentioned, it will have a lot of seams that will need to be caulked up, but it's easy to do. Mine has been a great feeder and I'll likely change to a bigger size feeder only due to it being a "300#' feeder. It'll actually hold 350#. My lease is 6 hrs away and that'll allow me to feed longer between trips.

Spend a little more and get much more is my opinion. We have 2 running on our lease and we're not a big fan.

I have the same one but the 600lb model. I have two of them that have been going strong now for about 3 years with no issues. I would definitely consider spending like $50 more and get the 600lb it is really nice not having to worry about filling a feeder as regularly. Also the solar panel you can buy as an accessory is very cheap and a great addition haven't had to mess with batteries in like 2 years since I've installed the solar panels. I also have had good luck with the BIG A feeder if you like a taller one but I prefer stand and fills. I noticed they came out with a new line of feeders including a 750lb one that look great. Looks like the solar panel is included and they would be A LOT quicker to assemble.

Said no one ever....why? The s&f are so much easier to fill and you don’t risk your life or a broken bone to do so

I am with you Judd they are pretty much superior in every way. They only thing I could imagine someone saying is that a taller feeder doesnt block as many shots if you are shooting from ground level...... or if you are anti feeder pens I can see cattle screwing with the smaller/ lighter stand and fills. I'm a stand & fill advocate 100%.

I would surely spend a little more and by from Ramball on here and get at least his 600# steel stand and fill on skids. varmit proof plate and will last lifetime and no leaks

I mentioned this before; academy has a new design feeder with the two plates, no cage. It looks pretty good. I’ve never seen it in the stores before this last month.

Thanks for the info everybody! I have heard the Buc-ee's Feeders are even better but I am a long way from a Buc-ee's. Had even thought of making my own feeder but I think I may just go with this one.
