Yeah I agree we liked the food there if it's open. Other than that, pizza hut, sonic, DQ. If it were me and the steak house is closed I'd go to lowes supermarket and buy a steak and this fixings, and use the motel outside grill if they have one.

Used to be a place with amazing chili rellenos, but it looks like it's out of business (I can't find it with Google). Sutton County Steakhouse has catered several events I've been to down there and it's always been really good. I'd go with the steak fingers or CFS.

'Never found a decent place to eat in Sonora, including the Sutton County Steakhouse, but the Mexican food place on the left, as you head into town south on the main drag, not far off I10 is passable and, judging by the ads I've heard on the radio and read in the Junction paper, has put forth a truly valiant effort in these crazy times when others in Menard, Junction, etc. just closed up.

There's a taco stand in Menard, on your way down or back up, that, before this crap started, there'd be no way I'd try, but, since it was about the only place open, I ordered a burger at the drive-through and ate it on the cluttered, dirty front porch table, while the grown son of the owners kept me company. Incredible burger and the best fried okra of my life. 'Can't remember the name of it, but if you see "Tacos" and you think to yourself "Oh, I don't know"...that's the one!
