I am wanting a tree blind, but most that I see out there are for STRAIGHT growing trees. Where I hunt in West Texas is Juniper and mesquite.

Who makes a good tree blind for bowhunting that I can use in a tree that doesn't have a straight trunk?

Best I could do when all I had were 8-10 foot mesquites. If you could find some taller brush for a back drop this setup wouldn't be bad.

titans idea is probably best. You could figure something out that could utilize a mesquite but most places arent gonna have a big enough mesquite to not blow in the wind pretty bad. We sometimes have ran a straight single piece of heavy pipe with a seat on top thats guide wired down. You can run it right beside the main tree trunk to utilize its limbs for cover/camo but dont attach it to tree cause the tree will sway. Its takes some work. I was gonna attach em to the tree but old man Barrington, the welder in Throckmorton, advised me not to cause of the tree swaying. Miss that smart and nice old man.

This one was 30' in air. Not for everybody, but ive never been accused of doing anything the easy way.

There was a place in either eastern Central Texas or East Texas that made what you are looking for. I can not think of the name of the company and do not know if they are still made. I know the Texas made ones used to be at the TTHA Extravaganza for a few years. For smaller mesquites and junipers they would take several of the smaller limbs/trunks and bundle them together to attach the tree stand to it. We used one that was really nice...you could attach it to a tree then level the platform. It had a large hexagonal platform with the seat in the center but offset and it would spin 360. You could stand or sit to shoot.

Call Ronnie at Woodsey Too Treestands. His website has not been working, but he can be found on Facebook if you search for Woodsey Too Treestands. He builds a tree-stand that is designed to be mounted on almost any angle of tree and the seat does not put your back up against the tree. It sits just off of the tree so you can spin 360 degrees if need be. I own one of these and it is awesome! If you can't find his number let me know and I'll send it to you. I believe he is located somewhere near Dallas/Fort Worth.

After a quick search, that is the blind I mentioned above. I do not remember it by that name in the late 90's but it is the same blind. I first saw them in the late 90's and hunted out of one from 2007 to 2009 time. IIRC they even made tripods back then...they had 4 legs instead of 3 on their tripods and each leg was adjustable. 6' was the smallest one and then taller ones were available. Heavier treestand but very well built and they will last a long time.

I do like the Woodsey. They look like they have the right idea, but the last time I priced the stand i needed it was $400???? Too steep for my blood.

I have a Johnson 360 blind I’d sell that spent a couple months in the backyard for my son to practice with his bow. Part of it’s claim to fame is the ability to mount to most any tree angle. Cushions have never been outside. $200
