I gave up on the Jeep brand when Jeep turned the Cherokee in to a soccer mom SUV. .

It honestly looks and sounds pretty cool. If I was in the market though a hemi rubicon would be really tough to beat. Jeep knew they had to do something big because they finally have some real competition.

A Rubicon with a hemi. A poser race jeep. I'm sure the kids at the local HS will be driving them soon.
The last reliable Jeep I owned was a J2000 Jeep pickup. Every CJ I owned after that was junk.

I wonder what the actual production numbers will be on the hemi Jeep. For that reason alone a wager it will not be a competitor for the market.

I'm curious what the price will be on that jeep. I saw some Jeeps at a place in McKinney a while back that were close to six figures. Granted, they had a few mods, but six figures? Seriously?

Dang I like that Branco. Might have to get me one when they come out. Wonder what the base 30k model will come with. Been looking at jeeps but used ones are stupid outrageous on price and the new ones, well there is just a lot more things I could spend 65k on.

Why would one want a manual transmission if they actually planned on off roading? I’ve been there and done that and it’s an absolute beating in technical stuff. I’d rather have the Jeep. The Hemi is going to be great for larger tires, and the solid front axle will be better than the Broncos IFS, which is a waste but they pandered to the feminine side of America that’s more worried about appearance and soft ride

If the rubicon is in the same class then it must be really low because it’s low range is 4:1. Add (actually multiply) 4.10 gears and whatever 1st gear is and you’ve got a pretty low crawl ratio.

4:10 gears and an automatic transmission will go anywhere and you can still hold your road soda.
