Well, since this new 7mm Mag will not be a heavily shot rifle, I thought I would save money buying Remington Brass instead of lapua . I bought just a bag of 50. Besides being flat out ugly (tarnished) and with bent mouths and a few shoulder dents. I had to even all primer pockets and deburr all flash holes. I straightened the necks with my Sinclair neck die using a small amount of graphite dust. They will tumble till dark in the Lyman Walnut cob mix.

Got the dies, Bergers and Noslers today.

Seller got his money today, rifle will go out to me Monday. I'll holla when its here. Man I hate buying from pictures, better be as pretty as the pictures were.

That’s my opinion of Hornady or Win brass too. Cheap but you spend time making it shootable. You’ll get it and then it’ll be in the rear view. up

Yep, I did fine with Winchester and Remington brass once I prepped it. Honestly, I just got tired of prepping brass, and went to Norma and Lapua to minimize that part of reloading.

Once worked over, Remington brass will be fine. Federal brass is about the only brass I just don't want to fool with anymore. Primer pockets give it up since the brass is so soft.

I have used Remington brass almost exclusively for decades, not because I think it's better but just for consistency. Started out saving my own fired brass and picking up once-fired range brass. More recently I have bought some new brass for reloading and it sure isn't as nice as factory-loaded brass. Maybe they save their "blems" for reloaders.
