Simple question... What would you say has been the single, best "sporting event" you've ever attended as a spectator? For me, it was recent. It was the Dallas Stars vs. Nashville Predators Winter Classic this past January 1, 2020 at the Cotton Bowl. It was incredible! What was yours? ...------

Polk High vs Andrew Johnson High. Polk High had been down by three touchdowns and the coach had made the decision to quit the game. Those kids refused to allow this, and went on to score four touchdowns, the three to catch up, and the one for victory, winning the game for Polk High and the city championship. All four comeback TDs were scored by the same full back, Allen Bundy.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

"WACO, Texas (AP) - Shawn Bell threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to Dominique Ziegler in overtime and they connected again for the game-winning 2-point conversion, lifting Baylor to a 35-34 upset of No. 16 Texas A&M on Saturday night."

2002 Texas Tech at Aggies. We won in triple overtime at Kyle Field. Never heard a place so quiet after a game. We super hot too and they ran out of water. Go Welker go! Honorable mentions: Cowboys Bills Super Bowl 1993 at Rose Bowl Stars Stanley Cup (they won in Buffalo though but went to every game) Zach Thomas int TD return over aggies SMU comeback win over Tulsa last year. Down by 21 in 4th. Win in triple OT.

The '86 Cotton Bowl was awesome. Bo Jackson had a great game but the Aggies stopped him four straight times on the goal line in the 4th. quarter.
In the end, it's not the years in your life that count, it's the life in your years.

I went to the Winter Classic, too. My son, for whatever reason, is a big hockey fan. I'm pretty sure it's cuz between that and soccer I don't know squat about them. We got a couple of tickets for his Christmas present.
The most memorable... a random Astros game way back in the day, prolly close to 30 years ago. The game wasn't all that great, but there were a lot of memories made. A friend of mine got tickets to the all inclusive deck through his old man's work. We got there as early as they'd let us in. Between 7 or 8 of us (we had a Mormon designated driver for the van), we drank the three booths around us out of beer by the time batting practice was over.
The best tho... last game of the season last year for my daughter. They played Georgia Tech in a post season tournament. She was a couple blocks away from a double double and hit over .500. They BARELY lost, but GA Tech had won the ACC and it wasn't supposed to be close on paper. The whole team stepped up and it was awesome to watch.

"I didn't see it live, but it was the best game I ever watched." That's it? I guess you don't get to see much "good" football.

Nolan Ryan’s first game to pitch for the Astros. He also hit a home run that same game. Played in the Astrodome, up in the $2 seats, and lots of $1 cold Lone Star draft beers.
