Curious what people are using that have a classic. I just got a quote from Hagerty that was, in my opinion, ridiculous ($2500/yr) for a non-daily driver on someone middle aged with no traffic violation history. Looking for agreed upon value of $65,000 and would consider flatbed/roadside included for the right price. Vehicle is stored indoors, all of age drivers in the house have a daily, and wouldn't be over 5k miles a year (want to take it on errands or the random day to the office without concern)

sorry I use Hagerty. I think with them you are basically taking out a term life policy on your vehicle. Mine is only 200/year thoigh

I use Hagerty and pay about $200/yr for $10K in coverage. My truck (1977 International Scout) is registered as an antique and insured as one. There are restriction from both on how and where I can drive it. If I wreck it off roading, Hagerty won’t cover it.

I use Hagerty on 4 classic vehicles valued around $175,000 and pay less than $1000/year

Try American Collectors. We use them a lot, you can deal with them direct and we are pleased with their pricing and claim response.

How on Earth did you get a collector car quote over $2,000? I didn't think that was possible.

https://www.grundy.com/

This add popped up when I looked for grundys web address. Might not hurt to give them a call.

DO NOT USE AMERICAN COLLECTORS. I had my policy set up to auto renew but instead they just let the policy lapse and told me I had to go through the whole process of getting a new policy. They require pictures of the vehicle to be sent in. I didnt care for their customer service at all.

I have a 35 Ford five window and pay like $230 a year for classic insurance with the normal restrictions that comes with.

Hagerty sucks. They quoted me $890/year for my Grand National.

$140/yr through American Family.

I don’t remember the company name but I have my Camaro valued at $30,000 for $350 a year.

My mom had 1 vehicle valued at $300,000 and was $1,500 a year through them.

If there was ever a good time to use worthless it’s now. Y’all need to post up some pics of your rides so us poor folks can dream a little.

I had to get a new policy, whaaa. . . .

Been in the business for 35 years and we see all kinds of idjits who try to do things themselves, screw it up and then blame it on someone else. It is always someone else's fault when a bill isn't paid. Insurance companies have been found to be very good at collecting money. It is why they have all those big buildings.

I always wondered how long it took to trowel on that makeup.

Any feedback on American Modern? Thinking of heading that direction. They are $2k cheaper a year than Hagerty for essentially the same thing (like I said, Hagerty gave me a bonkers quote)

Hagerty is not much different than regular insurance. Check Grundy, they were the best deal I found and you can do the quote 100% online.
