China reports suspected case of bubonic plague in Inner Mongolia https://www.foxnews.com/world/china-bubonic-plague-inner-mongoliaHealth officials in China have reported a suspected case of the bubonic plague in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, a second infectious threat that comes as the country battles the coronavirus pandemic. The case triggered a level-three alert Sunday in the Bayannur district. Health officials released a statement ordering residents not to hunt wild animals, such as rodents like marmots, and to report anyone with fever or showing other possible signs of infection.

I once read a book by Ken Follett, called World Without End which took you through the plague in Europe. It was devastating.
Follett also wrote The Eye Of The Needle.

China is a threat to the world... a threat to us. If we don't have a strong leader we can kiss the world as we know it good bye.

Along with all the misinformation & confusing directives, I wonder if Cov-19 is just a lame test virus sent out to see what would happen to world countries & economies if a really bad virus was set loose. I hope not. Give me a tin-foil hat please...

Bubonic plague is endemic to Inner Mongolia, it is common in their Marmot population, which is considered a delicacy. There are usually a handful of cases each year.

I believe it’s "No guts no gory"
In AZ there have been cases on the Rez of people getting plague from eating prairie dogs. The marmots and prairie dogs have fleas with the plague. They kill the marmot and it cools, the fleas jump to the nearest warm body....the person preparing it to eat. He gets plague. When you shoot prairie dogs or other rodenty critters don’t pick them up!!

Another one of those deadly diseases, right in my backyard. No matter how many rabbits I shoot, I still can’t tell a difference in the population. Crazy, huh?
