I'm looking at buying a 5.56 AR-15 and I've found a couple of used ones. I was wondering what y'all thought of either of them and if the prices are good or not. Here are the specs for them:

The two tone rifle is the 16" and the all-black is 12".

Given today's prices and "scare" - with the optics on the two I wouldn't say they are real bad prices - I've seen better but neither are bad guns/deals. Both would I think be decent - not tier 1 or great but both would be decent and functional. What's your intended purpose? And will the seller negotiate on either?

IMO the rifle is setup for hunting as is, the pistol for defense/CQB. If you have an astigmatism and haven't used an Eotech before you might not like it so be sure to look thru it first. You won't have any such problems with the Leupold.

My eyesight is generally pretty good. I was intending to use an AR for just some target shooting as well as varmint hunting and defense, if it came down to it.
