Herd immunity is now running full speed and serving it's purpose. As long as hospitals can carry the load of worst cases, the more people who become exposed and overcome it the better. Simply put, it needs to be left nowhere to hide.

Texas Dan said just what I’m also thinking. It would, however, be nice to have a vaccine.

Just this morning I was telling my wife the same thing, mortality/fatality rate is dropping but hospitalizations are what I worry about. I am just afraid that we will not reach herd immunity without a vaccine. We are not sure how long immunity lasts as there are cases now of people possibly being reinfected. If immunity does not last long enough for the numbers to catch up, without a vaccine true herd immunity will not be possible.

When all of “this” has run its course, we will find that the worst damage was not done by this virus, but by the politicians. Nature is going to do what nature does.

“This” will never end. It’s too effective. The reasons for “this” will get changed up as needed. Now is C19, there will be another one along shortly.

If herd immunity wasn't sufficient to overcome all new viruses, the human race would have been wiped out long ago. Some view all new viruses as Mother Nature's way of strengthening the health of the world's population. As hunters, we see first-hand the reality of the health challenges that face all living things. To the best of my knowledge, a vaccine was never created for the Spanish Flu because by the time vaccines were possible, herd immunity had beaten the virus. It would kill roughly 600,000 Americans before it could find no more non-immune hosts. No doubt, advances in healthcare have saved many of those infected with COVID-19.
