I'd love to think I love all of God's creatures, but I admit I absolutely despise rodents and swine.

I'd probably take joy at watching this swine meet its demise.

Can you spot the 2nd critter?

Addendum: Is it too easy? Don't give it away right away if you were blessed with keen eyes.
Addendum II: If that's not a hog, enlighten me! IN65

Clarification for some viewers!

The "1st critter" is the hog, the "2nd critter" is a predator.

I did not mean to imply there were "2 predators" after the hog.

Addendum: Should you see more than "1 predator," by all means, point him/her out!
Addendum II: No purses allowed!

You'll have to save image, then enlarge to see it. It must be a kitten, looks small in relation to its surroundings.

The "kitten" is a mountain lion, and if it's not a hog, what is it?

This photo was from a buddy's trail cam photo he posted this morning in another forum.

I do not know if this was his trail cam photo, or if he got it somewhere else.

So I see something small that could be another animal but no way it can conclusively be identified.

I could be missing the actual second animal.

The first animal is a hog no doubt.

I see what looks like it may be a lion, but it is so blurry, that it could just be rocks, grass and shadows that looks kinda like the face of a mountian lion. I would not say that this is a confirmed sighting of a mountain lion. I do think that is a pig.

Big animal is an elk with his winter coat coming it. 2nd animal is a mountain lion. Terrain looks to be southern Colorado or Northern NM. Which makes sense based on the temperature, date and time.

Case closed.

I now believe that there is no second animal and what looks like a mountain lion or other feline face is nothing but an odd pattern in the rocks/grass/shadows.

It's way to small to be a mountain lion. Just look at the surrounding brush and other vegetation, rocks, etc.

The main critter is 100% a hog and no way an elk.

That cat was probably shopped in. Who would examine a pic of the back of an elk so closely to notice that cat?

I had a hard time finding it. I then looked at the image in a separate window and blew it up to 240% to find it. I can now look at the picture and see it right away.

You sure about that statement? May want to look again, or you might get a hard time from some of the boys on here. Just my advice.
It’s an elk, go hunt some more hogs and you will be able to identify them better so you don’t shoot someone’s cow thinking it’s a hog.

I do not believe it is a hog unless he has long straight hair and a long neck. Looks like a wet elk. Look at the definition in the legs/muscles. Not hoglike, more deerlike to me. The cat is deceptive. size and lack of any body form makes me wonder if it is actually a cat, bobcat, far away lion or weeds that happen to appear like a cat face.I have a laptop so not a great screen to see any definition.

Still don't believe that's an elk.

But I doubt more that the image behind it is a mountain lion.

Dead giveaway on the fur, that’s definitely not a pig. I see that ML, I think the way the photo turned out made it look a little strange. Of course, if you thought that’s a pig, you’d probably be convinced it’s a house cat, photoshopped or a small ML.

I got this photo from a social media buddy who said it was from a trail cam.

I assumed it was "his" trail cam photo.

Regardless, after reading all comments, and looking at the original links, I sill do not know if this is a hog or an elk.

Each side is positive he is correct, hog, no, elk, no, hog, no, wet elk, noooooooooooooooo!

But I doubt more that the image behind it is a mountain lion.

Follow up series of pics from the elk first moving into frame, walks past the camera and then the lion walks past the camera.

That settles that...

I thought and hoped it was a hog. I hate swine, and was ready for that cat to chow down!

It's way to small to be a mountain lion. Just look at the surrounding brush and other vegetation, rocks, etc.

The main critter is 100% a hog and no way an elk.

Glad i wasn't the only one thinking this could have been possibly an elk. I wasn't sure until you posted that FB sequence. Good find.

You want to find elk, find lions. You want to find lions, find elk.

100% an elk and that’s 100% a ML.

We watched 2 mountain lions trail and stalk a bull elk one day, weird story actually. Last day of a kids hunt, it was suppose to be a college graduation present from his dad. His dad died right before the hunt. Those lions push that bull straight up a 60 degree incline, right in front of the kid and he killed it with a 15 yard frontal shot. Of all the different ways it could of gone it went straight to that kid. Still sure real.

Two years ago I called mountain line into 10 yards with an elk bugle.
