I got lucky and picked up two new freezers a month or so back and went out of my way to fill them. Got to thinking What if these fools cut the power supply so I wanted a small 3500 watt Inverter Generator just in case they do. I was looking for a Champion and starting to get worried I was having a hard time finding one locally but I found a Duel Fuel at Cabela's, I feel much better now I can even run my 5k BTU window AC.

Check your power server. Most will cover the cost of your loss if the outage causes spoil.

We lost power for about 3 hours yesterday. Had company coming. Thank goodness for our generator.

If your home has natural gas, consider a gas fired generator.

I have one set up that way so I can run it off my Natural Gas stub on the back deck. Multiple places offer them this way. Check Google for options.

Based on my experience... Dual fuels need to be run on gas fot couplr hours to set piston rings. I keep MARINE GRADE Stabil in my gas cans. Mix it little rich for generator before you store it. Spring and fall, run with a full load for 15 minutes. A gen tech told me this practice helps magnetic fields in shape. I know it helps keep the carb clear. Keep the oil changed and remember if gets a bit low on oil, tge low oil shut off will shut it down. Congratulations. Word for the wise. One is never enough.
If the 2nd amendment was written just to include guns for hunting, why is there not an amendment to protect fishing poles?

Gas goes bad to quickly, so i sold my gas generator and bought straight propane. It will run the essintials for 12-14 hours on a 20lb bottle. Ive got two 40# and two 30# bottles for my camper and several 20#. Never goes bad and as long as your bottles dont leak, you are good to go.
