My sister in law's dad, lives in Pasadena, he felt real tired several days, and collapsed one morning, tested +.
I think he's home in quarantine.

A friend of ours 32 year old son was at work when he passed out, they called 911 and he was taken to the hospital, tested positive, he is now on a ventilator.

Praying for the young people. The uptick is real. Wish it was more predictable, but it ain't. Life must go on, business must go on, but things are going to be different. I've planned, for a third time, to go see my new little granddaughter, but won't really be surprised if I wind up cancelling that trip too. Crazy times. "Love the one you're with."

Don’t put it off. You can be safe and still see kids and the grandkids.
I say this because my mother’s husband passed a couple weeks ago from heart attack. He died 2 days after his 90th birthday. His kids and grandkids wanted to come see him for a while and he kept putting them off because of the virus. They tried to get him to let them come for his birthday. He said let’s hold it for another month because of the virus. There are some pretty hard feelings on his side of the family right now.

It’s a tough decision but with some common sense and planning it can be done safely.

I hope everyone gets well. We had a few family members get it, but they are not frequent visitors.

I meet with the kids on Sunday. We bbq in the yard and nobody goes in the house unless its a restroom break. Bottle of hand sanitizer by the door and soap in the restroom. Spray with lysol after your duty is done wash your hands and back out into the yard. Eating while sitting on tailgates or hoods brings back memories. Head nods, and air hugs are nice too.

Impossible. I just read another Facebook post about it all being made up by democrats to destroy our country. There is no COVID.

I understand that Covid-19 is real and people are getting sick and some are dying from it. Lots die from the flu also, along with lung disease, heart disease and liver disease. It doesn't keep people from smoking, being obese and out of shape or drinking alcohol. We kept our granddaughter from 8 weeks of age till 1 week from a year old. We took precautions when we went to town and used hand sanitizer like it was about to expire. We didn't take any unnecessary risks and still saw her, and our son and DIL four days a week. They also took precautions to stay healthy, her being a nurse at a hospital and him working for the city. Go see her.

I'm with y'all 100%. But, the new mother (my youngest) got my temper. And, new mother instincts are in full force. If she waves us off 'cause of what's going on around them, I can't force her to hand over the kid. It's been one helluva emotional roller coaster for the last few months. My ex (blood maternal grandma) could have been there for the birth (St. Patrick's Day), right before all this crap came down, but that woman can't make a decision to save her life, and she hasn't been there yet. 'Supposed to be there before us. My wife ("step-grandma") is crying and upset all the time. 'Never seen a woman try so hard to make her step-children her own. Hell, "step" is a word that we don't even utter. That's one of the many reasons I love her. But this situation is "for the birds". Plus, it's costing me a fortune in booze. Okay, I've successfully cut way back recently. 'Hand to our Creator.

Since this all began I have had 5 family members test positive:
90 year old female-assisted living center/never showed symptoms/now testing negative.
60 year old male-in hospital but doesn't look life threatening at this point.
50 year old female-recovering/looks like the worst is behind her
16 year old male-recovering/sniffles/cough/nothing to bad
16 year old male-no symptoms so far but positive

I am convinced most of us are going to get this at some point unless a vaccine is available super quick. Its ramping up in Texas at an alarming rate!

Wow, maybe one person gave it to all? Have you been around them and been tested? Glad no one has died.

4 of them are in the same house. The kids work in a grocery store and brought it home. The 90 year old is in assisted living center and no idea how she got it. Last I heard she was the only one that tested positive there and she tested positive multiple times despite zero symptoms.

Edit: No I haven't been around any of them.

Thx for sharing JCB, TCM3, and everyone else. I suspect we will be seeing a lot more of these type posts. No one has posted deaths yet, and that is good.

My two oldest cousins died from it in April...85 and 83 years old. My friend's uncle died a few weeks back, 45. However, a college kid I worked with had it and was over it in about a week.

Prayers for all that have it or know people that have it. Couldn't go to my cousins funerals due to attendance limitations... so, yeah...
