What percentage of time do you spend using a mouth call versus an electronic call?
I am about 60% mouth call and 40% electronic

I prefer to run electronic due to the convenience aspect of it but they do get wise them with heavy hunting pressure and a blown set or two. If nothing responds to the FoxPro, the following night is a mouth call for that area.

I use both about 50/50. But if a place has been hunted much. I dont turn on e caller. Better off with a hand calls. I like to use a bird sounds in them areas. Not much if any rabbit sounds.

Well we'll see! Just so happens I'll be doing some calling this weekend with my brother. We'll be using hand calls.

Agree. With all of the calling pressure today, I was using primarily hand calls, especially the Mini Blaster as it hits the ultrasonic frequencies which are realistic to the predator's sensitive hearing. Now that I am using the ultrasonic caller, getting more aggressive responses in areas that have been called as it produces the actual animal recording. I have been using prototypes for five months and to date, I have not had a coyote warning bark at me. Yesterday morning I called up and killed one of the oldest coyotes I have ever killed on a ranch that I have hunted for almost 20 years. Not only did she come to the ultrasonic caller, she came within 15 feet, maybe 10 feet to the downwind side. I had sprayed Predator Death Grip from Texas Raised Hunting Products around the caller and while she shied off, did not got 15 steps before she stopped to mark her territory, never saw this before. Cool thing is, we got it on video for CARNIVORE. As most of you know, the old female coyote is the smartest critter in the woods and while this one was as ugly as a mud fence, she was a trophy! Barely any teeth in her bottom jaw, scarred and little hair but more difficult to kill than a 7 year old whitetail buck. Adios, Gary

Called in 3 using your Mini Blaster this morning, one spotted movement, one got our scent and just missed the third one. The little Mini Blaster is the most versatile hand call I've ever used. I was damn near using it as a squeaker trying to hold the one we missed.

I treat most all my calling ground like a trophy deer hunter does his hunting grounds. I don’t over hunt nor call when conditions aren’t right. So I don’t notice too much trouble calling with either but do prefer e- caller for daytime calling which is my favorite time to call.... but at night mouth calls are fine and work just as well.

100% mouth calls. If I’m on my lease, or any place and I have a rifle, I have my lanyard around my neck with the mouth calls. I prefer open reed calls

I have a Foxpro, and several mouth calls. I prefer the mouth calls because I have had better results with them.

I hunt nights probably 95% of the time and use mouth calls. Diaphragms to be specific. With the right one in each jaw I can hit most sounds pretty close hands free. And at night I want them to be focused on me. Daytime I'll use an e-call but I've recorded me calling and loaded that sound file so it is still a bit unique. 👍

As many of you know, I have been using prototypes for about 6 or 7 months and I hoped to have a few available at the TTHA shows in August. If I don't, I will have prototypes there to demonstrate and will take your name and phone # to call when they are available. I wrote an article in the latest TTHA magazine about some of the things I have seen since using this call. Since the article, I have seen several others events that I have not seen in nearly 60 years of calling. So far, not one coyote has warning barked at me...…. Adios, Gary
