How about not? The government gunning down citizens for stealing and property damage is simply not okay and never will be. That is a good way to get citizens to come out and bring guns too. No one wins.
Lol..... I don't need the government in this state, I can and will shoot anyone that tries to steal or destroy my property ...and if I was a business owner in Minnesota I would of given both barrels of my shotgun to the first criminal that came busting through my door with pleasure.......
"with pleasure"???? Pitch, did you really mean to put that in there? Did you think that through? Too late to edit? Serious question, just trying to help.
Yes I meant it..... I love my family and country that much......."Evil flourishes when good men do nothing......."
I never said anything about "doing nothing". I never said anything about not using deadly force to protect whats important. I just questioned when you said you would kill someone for breaking into your business that you would do it "with pleasure", if maybe you may have said that to emphasize your point or if you meant it literally. You have answered and i have noted it. Back to topic gents.

If he didn’t put up a fight the first time - what’s the guarantee he’d be here for a 2nd time? If someone is desperate enough to rob you with a weapon - they’re desperate enough to kill you even if you comply. Happens all the time. Better to live a few dollars lighter than die.

So you would shoot someone over stealing your weedeater out of your garage? What about a hammer? It isn't worth it, never will be. Defend your life, your family, your friends, and maybe a stranger. If someone is breaking into my house and I am home, of course I will defend my home.

Penal Code is pretty clear on what you can shoot someone for.

Penal Code is pretty clear on what you can shoot someone for. I had planned to give up on this thread until you posted. You can take it to the bank when my good buddy Chris posts it.

I could never kill someone over stuff. Only if my life or someone elses life was in danger. I agree, we can replace stuff.

Penal Code is pretty clear on what you can shoot someone for. Yes it is, the question isn't if you can, it is if you should. You have to answer that on your own.

Penal Code is pretty clear on what you can shoot someone for. When i stand up in front of my Lord, I'm pretty clear on what he would hold me accountable for as well

I can't stand before the God that saved me and explain why I killed someone because they stole something. I did plenty of stupid things in life myself.

If someone is desperate enough to rob you with a weapon - they’re desperate enough to kill you even if you comply. Happens all the time. Better to live a few dollars lighter than die. You ain't lying! My Grandparents were broken into once. The burglar wasn't able to get everything he wanted, namely the safe. My grandfather saw a car up the road, so he told my grandmother to leave with her friend. Sure enough the guy breaks into the house for a second time. My grandfather a retired Sargent with SAPD let him break into the house and held him at gunpoint. The guy attacked my grandfather as they walked out the house, they struggled over the gun. They perp bit my grandfather on his chest. And managed to get away. A county deputy caught up to the guy, and a chase ensued, the deputy lost control and died in the wreck. Now a deputy is dead, and my grandfather could of also been killed. This could of all been avoided if my grandfather would of just shot the guy when he broke in....... We all have to do, what we have to do. As long as its legal, I wont let the intruder dictate the circumstances.

Any other action is a threat. no need to bring bravado into the picture.

back to the topic, they fired them immediately, but waited two days to arrest them. seems they should have done it at the same time.
