My son got a Ruger Mark IV and wants to put a red dot on it. Got any good recommendations? FYI Scheels has the target model for $299. It was hard to pass up at that price.

I have the 22/45 lite mark 4. I put a Vortex Venom on it. Its nice. Battery on the top for easy change. Affordable. Only thing that I would knock it on is it takes the 1632 battery and not the more common 2032

Vortex Venom or Burris Fastfire 3 would top my list for that application. Have both, and like them.

I run a cmore on my buckmark with a 90* mount. I really really like that set up. It’s a little more involved. Before that I ran a bushnell trs25 before that. It was fine too.

Here's my 22/45 LITE Mark IV. I figured for a .22 - I didn't have to have a $300 optic and I was right. This Browning reflex red dot works fine on it along with the Silencerco Sparrow.
