Someone here recommended it to me in light of Land O Lakes going soft, so to speak. I believe it was Texflip. I’m not sure, but thank you. I found some at the HEB in Midland, and it’s wonderful. I try to be as unbiased as I possibly can when comparing products. Obviously, I want Falfurrias to be better than LOL, but I don’t want to lie about it. I’d gladly buy one over the other on principal, alone. Any real butter is fantastic, however, I do think that Falfurrias has them beat in taste. I really do. I even compared it to the Hill Country Fare butter that I had in the fridge and have zero bias towards. No comparison. Not for me, at least. I’m sending my wife the latest shopping mandate, and I’ll be freezing this golden goodness in bulk for my return home, post-hitch.

I made the switch Falfurrias based on the Land o Lakes thread as well. Taste great and you support a Texas company.

Seriously, get a knife and cut a slice right now. It’ll be worth the effort.

We have a butter dish on the counter for just that. It’s contaminated with some northern, inferior sort of bovine milk fat and salt, at the moment, but that will be remedied as soon as I conclude this hitch and book it west.

I know it would but Ramsey smoked a brisket and we took the kids over for dinner and I am full as a damn tick.

Ah hell, it’s even worse than I thought. Upon issuing the mandate, I was informed that the current woman overseeing my household (only while I’m busy making way for her misguided financial adventures) had just stocked up on “butter” because of some sale. I’m not willing to admit the location of derivation, but I can say that it’ll cause me countless hours of sleep, and that north would be a definite improvement in directional sourcing. I’m still bringing home the real butter, and she’ll soon find out the true value of that particular sale when the 15 lbs. of commie butter is fed to the goats.

Understandable. You don’t want to risk this moment.

Plus for it's cheaper than Land O Lakes at my HEB, their sweet cream butter is supple.
