it doesn't matter. he said he couldn't breath. no one even checked. no aid was rendered. he was killed.

Typically if you can talk, you can breathe. The guy was putting whole sentences together. Shortness of breath is a symptom of a heart attack. Like I said before the officer shouldn't have stayed on him the whole time. Let's see what he died from before convicting the officer.

so is kneeling on the neck the "typical" way to treat a heart attack? I learned something new today.

IMO the guy would of died either way, but the officers actions gave it bad optics.

Asphyxiation takes 3-4 minutes, he kneeled on the mans neck for 6 minutes. The officer killed him. Not just bad optics, it was murder.

Have you seen the full six minutes of video?

Yes I have.

Regardless of cause of death, manner of death is homicide.

It's local for me, I have friends on the department, but it does have a bad reputation. This one is bad, the Officers Benevolent Assn. came out with a statement asking for people to wait for the investigation, usually they vigorously defend from day one.

I know that, just not sure what they actually accomplish. Same as rioting after a sports team wins. I don't understand it.

Wow when the guy became unresponsive the officer kept his knee on his neck for almost an additional 3 mins. Heads are gonna roll.

Wow. That was tough to watch. However that plays out, that department/city/town/county/state will never recover from that. That mans death will not be the last death as a result of the decisions those officers made.
Some decisions, we only get one shot at making the right call. They missed it here. The reverberations of this video will be long and loud.

Exactly. What was he thinking? What led to that call? To that action? One can only “assume” anger. Hate. Vengeance. Seriously, playing the devil’s advocate, what could he have believed that, he was doing what was right?

From what I've heard all officers involved were wearing video and audio.

Dang that was hard to watch!! It it had been a movie i would of called it unrealistic. I ALWAYS give everyone the benefit of the doubt and always know theres more to a story but WOW. Hes handcuffed, theres backup, completely subdued. Put cuffs on his ankles if needed, but why stay on his neck for minutes after unresponsive. Devils advocate maybe hes a known serial killer. I hope a LEO can shed some light on proper protocal. There are bad apples everywhere and bad judgement everywhere and law enforcement is no exception. I respect and appreciate yall for putting your life on the line everyday to keep the chaos in our world down and i hate to see this taint others view of the profession.

Free crap and a chance for a small group of people to tear stuff up and have the cover of the riot to keep from getting thrown in jail.

Thanks,

Unless some huge unseen part of all this is being kept from the public, all of the officers in the video should be tried for murder or negligent homicide. The officer with the knee on his neck should get the death penalty.

I support law enforcement.......unless they break the law violate rights/liberties.......those officers need to see lots of jail time, especially the one that killed him......

I don't blame the African American communities for being outraged. Every citizen and police officers that have watched this should be outraged. That man was murdered by those cops and I pray they are held accountable.
