My wife and have been looking for 4 retro All metal TV trays. The kind with the stand holder. I remember these when I was a boy. One guy had a vintage set here in DFW but only had 3 tops.
You would think with such a simplistic design they would still be made. None on Amazon, all metal. They have wood, but is a no go.

Dang it. If you had asked a week ago I would have gave you some. There was a set covered in dust in my late Father's storage shed. The stand was damaged, but could have been fixed. I already threw them away. Came real close to taking them to my hunting lease house.

We still have some, a set at home and a set at the cabin in Ruidoso. The grandkids are about the only ones that use them.

Still have a couple. Don't use them much without sports in front of TV.

I use mine all the time but they are wood. I have one on each side of my recliner. One I eat on and one holds my magazines & drink. I don't eat at table often.

Actually have this, great camping table, but cannot put your knees inside the table to get it close enough for functionality. Great side table.

I never liked the flimsy TV trays. For heavier meals I could use this.

Grandpa had sawhorses and few half sheets of plywood for us grandkids. Large back room was cleared out for us grandkids to congregate.

Yeah and we would sit back there with ladies. The men would be inside eating the breast and drumsticks. We'd be eating the thighs, wings and necks.

Yeah and we would sit back there with ladies. The men would be inside eating the breast and drumsticks. We'd be eating the thighs, wings and necks. Thanksgivings at my grandparents meant at least 18 adults, and 36 grandkids, but sometimes could be closer to 50 and 75 if some of the in-laws and outlaws showed up. The tractor shed would become the grandkids place, the dining room for all of the grandparents, the aunts and uncles the back room. Sawhorses and plywood for tables, cinder blocks and 2x12s for seating. It was a "zoo".
