look into texas youth hunting program very good program for the kids Outfitters at times offer some great kids doe hunts too. But yes, I recommend TYHP too, who knows, maybe I'd end up being your guide!

The TYHP is an awesome program and some of the best folks around. My son did several after we moved to Texas, right up until he turned 18.

TYHP is a very good program. for 6 years I helped run at least one turkey hunt a year with them. First time applicants for hunts usually get their hunt. it is open for kids 9 to 17 years old and the kids have to have hunters Ed certification.

Just spent some time on the website and it looks like a great program. Makes me feel like a failure that I didn’t know about it before now!
They are transitioning to a new website so we couldn’t sign up but definitely will!

Just spent some time on the website and it looks like a great program. Makes me feel like a failure that I didn’t know about it before now!
They are transitioning to a new website so we couldn’t sign up but definitely will! I’ve emailed them twice asking about signing the kids up since the website isn’t up and running. Haven’t heard back so hoping they get it going.

It is more or less off season right now get them hunters Ed and keep your eyes open on the site. Send me a pm so I Rember and I can talk to one of the head guys next weekend. We have been it the program with both my girls so for the past 4 years. My now 18 year old and almost 13 year old and I are actually goi g to a huntmaster training class next week so we can give back to the program I believe in it 100% that is where we learned to hunt. I grew up not in a hunting family so without this I and well as the girls would have missed out on all the memories hinting has brought

Well the kids are all certified up and we got their rifles. Still been watching the website. Looks like the new one is up but still says they aren’t accepting new registrations. We’ll see
