I’m finding limited data for loading relatively lighter bullets (178 grain ELD-X) in .300 win mag using IMR 7977.
Anyone have any pet loads for this combo? (I’m trying to burn up the 178s I have on hand before switching to a heavier bullet.)
Thanks for the help!

Start at 73.0 gr. Climb up in .4 gr increments until it shoots good, looking for pressure on the way.
Bet it ends up being quite full of powder, when it starts to shoot best.

I’m finding limited data for loading relatively lighter bullets (178 grain ELD-X) in .300 win mag using IMR 7977. Thanks for the help! I don't have any "pet" loads, but 7977 is slightly slower burning than H1000 is in my testing. So, copying H1000 data is close, and 7977 should be slightly higher. I've seen about 79 to 80 grains as max with the 180 grain bullets. But this depends on your seating depth, brand of brass used, and bullet choice. The longer you seat it out, the more powder you can use before pressure.
