Holy moly, things have definitely changed from when I was last seen 2 months ago. Starting with the text messages.

Dentist: Stay in your car until we text you back.

Me: I don't own a car. Should I stay in my truck?

Dentist: Yes

Me: I'm claustrophobic. Can I go outside and play?

Dentist: No response.

So, I'm out in the parking lot skipping rocks at stray squirrel's, when the receptionist opens the door and says I can come in. Thought I was going to need a security clearance from the CIA. Keep your mask on. Sanitize your hands. Rinse your mouth with this peroxide. We need to take your temp. Have you been to China. No, but I stayed at the Super 8 in Little Rock 2 years ago, blah blah blah.

Plexy glass up everywhere. My dentist had on a mask as well as a face shield. I said hi Dr Darth Vader. He wasn't amused, which explains why that needle full of novacain got jabbed in my mouth with more force than usual.

Then he says Ms. Janie we need to take x-rays. Huge problem as I truly am claustrophobic, so I mentioned I'd rather be doused with gasoline, and forced to run nekkid thru a meth lab. Need to learn to keep my mouth shut, as they took 4.

Anyway. Know they've got their marching orders from the ADA & CDC. Signed my receipt and was told to throw the ink pen in the trash.

Hell no. I kept it.

I'm not going.

Showed up 5 minutes early as I was going fishing right after the appointment. They told me to wait in my car. Called at 7 minutes after my appointment was to begin only to be told they were not ready. Let them know to reschedule.

Will await the end of this craziness.

I can see that playing out just as described.

I'm sitting here waiting for my daughters pediatrician to call for her appointment, going on 25 minutes late. Don't worry no communication saying they are running behind or anything.

Cancelled the dentist appointment I had for this week. Also had a Dr appointment that was on the phone. She was running 30 minutes late. They wanted to set me up in a virtual waiting room. I told them no thanks and just say in the car and waited for her to call.

I need to see the dentist. I missed my appointment in 2017.

I cancelled my dentist appt several weeks ago. Cancelled my ENT appt today, actually pushed it out 90 days. That one needs to be done.

I get scoped once a year now by my Radiation Oncologist. Was supposed to be early last month. I called a week before and was told I could see him by video chat! I asked the young lady how he could do my scope that way and she had no answer. I rescheduled for late this month thinking surely things would have settled down by then. I'm calling back next week to push it another month. My sleep DR did a video chat and I was surprised that he had my CPAP data already remotely downloaded. Kinda don't like that!

I had a cardiac ultra sound back on April 27, follow up appointment was last Monday afternoon. Nurse called Monday morning to ask if I wanted to have a video appointment. I declined, I wanted to look the DR in the eye. Besides I’d probably have to pay the same amount anyway.

Good stuff Janie . I had a little taste of this nonsense today as well at Discount Tire. I went in for a normal tire rotation, was gonna drop the truck and go with a buddy that was waiting outside. Nope, was instructed to wait in truck with flashers on until someone could help me, and yes, I had an appt. My tires only have 6k miles on them so not real sure what the goal was

Seriously, the State Board has really put the screws on dental providers....makes it tough on the patients and the dental staff. I'll be glad when life gets back to normal. We were pretty much shut down for 2 months and now operating at about 50% capacity.
