my wife does not like alot of smoke flavor in her meats. can you adjust pellet grills to produce very little smoke and use as a grill vs smoker. thx

The short answer is yes . I think in there regular smoke mode ( 225- 250) it does have less smoke flavor than stick . The higher temp you cook at ( grilling ) there is even less smoke . I do know how to add more smoke flavor if needed .

My wife is not a fan of intense smoke either, but anything off the Weber charcoal grill gets a thumbs up!

This is correct. Mine has a 'smoke' setting at 175. The higher I go, the less it smokes. When I do a brisket or butt, I run 175 for 3-4 hours then move it up to 250. Meat has flavor but is not rancid tasting. I have a cheap Walmart Pit Boss Gold and it works like a champ. Sold my stick smoker and never looked back.

I had one this weekend, it had slightly more smoke taste then an oven cooked one.

Add a smoke tube if you want more smoke. It's so easy a caveman can do it.

I used to be on the "no pellet grill" bandwagon....and now I haven't used my stickburner in over a year...I use it 3-4 times a week. I got the PitBoss Austin XL

EZ bake oven..funny. One of the best smokers I ever used was a DIY made out of an old metal lined fridge with a stove heating element put in the bottom. Set the temp and then put a slice of mesquite on it for smoke. Worked like a champ.

Heat + Smoke x Time, simple.

Not in the front yard........

Back yard ain't fenced so I keep it in the garage. On quick smokes like some ribeyes, I'll just roll it out of the garage and fire it up. On long smokes, I'll pull it around to the patio out back.
