I bought a 2009 Kawasaki Mule 4010 Trans 4x4 for the lease. At idle it is proposing and dies. I live in Denton and place don't say "The Cycle Center" .
If I'm not hunting something I must be dead.

have you replaced the drive belt??? Its a common culprit.... I went ahead and pulled both my clutches and going to take them in to be rebuilt ... The front is easy but the rear you have to have a 900lb press to release..The belt is a hr job and the belt is 85 to 125 for aftermarket

Would the drive belt actually affect the idle? It runs and drives good as long as it is not sitting at idle. I have replaced all fluids already too.

I have been happy with the Canton dealer service department.
You should call them. I have had my 2012 Trans Mule repaired twice under warranty because the throttle body gets gummed up and effects emissions.

Clean the carburetor, more specifically the idle circuit. Heck, pouring some b12 chemtool in the tank could fix it. Has mine a few times.

First I would change the fuel filter if you haven't already done so.

Mine was doing that a few years ago. I ran a can of seafoam though it. Has idled perfect since then. Now I run a can through it every year.
Haven't had it in years but never spit any out. I am a sucker for happy endings and strapped cowboys.

Yes the clutch package can dramatically affect the idle..makes it surge or when putting in gear will stall...watch a youtube video on the trans mule clutches and how they work..interesting..also causes grinding when putting in gear...i changed mine after it shredded half way back to camp one morning...its a good preventative maintenance.. my lease partner pulled his off to check it at 200 hrs and it was starting to shred on the edges....The above stuff mentioned are always good starts and inexpensive...

Agree with above. Any idling issue I would start with new fuel filter and some Seafoam in the gas tank. Cost you about $20 and may very well solve the issue.

I seaboard the tank and sprayed B12 into the intake while running. It is idling good now, thanks to all those that helped.

I knew that would work. Everyone knows Mules never need mechanics...

Probably the throttle body, this has been an issue with this model especially if you run gas with ethanol in it. Typically your lucky to get 300hrs out of a throttle body, it's the weak link of this model. We've had five 4010s, trust me I know.
The service at Paris Suzuki-Kawasaki is EXCELLENT !!! Ask for Shane and tell him Bill Wilson referred him to you, they will take care of you.
