You are going the posted 70 mph on the highway and then exit on to a straight, flat, exit ramp that is posted 30 mph. That exit ramp feeds into an access road that is posted at 50 mph.

Why? confused2

A yellow speed sign is simply a suggestion. A white speed sign is the posted speed limit.

Ramp signs are almost always yellow as a warning to slow down due to a curve or high traffic area.

Look it up

Never heard that. But you are correct. The signs are yellow. Will have to look that up.

Thanks up

I am guessing that Texas BE has taken his driving test more recently than most of us.

I took drivers ed over 30 years ago..

I remember the yellow sign thing because it meant I didn’t need to follow it, just a suggestion.

Texas Administrative Code

(2) Exit ramps. The Exit Speed or Ramp Speed signs (W13-2 and W13-3) are intended for use where engineering investigations of roadway, geometric, or operating conditions show the necessity of advising drivers of the maximum recommended speed on a ramp.

Creekrunner and I think alike....speed demons!

Actually I am not terrible. Stay about 7-10 above speed limit unless active school zone or construction zone.

Texas does NOT have speed limits, rather they post "presumed safe speeds"... meaning it can be legal to exceed them based on conditions. Yes, even the black and white signs.

Thats so yesterday. The newly installed china satellites will track your speed. Why do you think Trump made it top priority for a space force.

So when I get pulled over for 75mph on an empty 60 or 65 mph highway, the Leo doesn’t really need to ticket me?
If there’s no “speed limit” than why do the signs say

Yes, there is likely no reason to ticket you under the conditions you describe... and as I've said Texas posts a "presumed safe speed" using signs like the one you show.

Here, for the next time you get ticketed...

Try arguing that to the judge. Lawyers can, but us normal folks would have a hard time.

Lawyer can get you out of a ticket, but it will cost you $$$$.

I don't like donating extra taxes, so, I will just go with what the definition of "LIMIT" is, if that's alright? If not, then go around and don't try to pass me on the shoulder.

Downtown Austin on I-35. Exit ramps are like 75 yrds long and some of the most dangerous I’ve ever driven. On ramps are just as bad.
