We should all stay indoors until the government comes up with a solution to this problem.

There must be something to this. Dr. Marc Seigel just talked about these hornets on Tucker Carlson. Hannity is going to during his show tonight.

Are you trolling or what? I know a few people can die from these things. However, I think the real concern is these things are supposedly a risk to honey bees, you know those little nuisance bees that pollinate the food we need!

Not trolling...Are you an entomologist?
I believe that this is just more sensational journalism at its finest, trying to drum up more fear in the public.
How many bees can one of those kill a day?

Quote
One group of researchers that recorded a “slaughter” event learned each hornet killed one bee every 14 seconds, the outlet said.

Quote
Japanese honey bees have learned to “cook” the hornets to death by forming a vibrating ball around one of them, creating an oven that can reach up to 115 degrees, according to the NYT.

Honey bees in America aren’t so equipped. They try to sting the hornets, but fail because their exoskeletons are too strong, meaning the hornets can prove deadly in the U.S.

When I first saw the report, I asked myself if these hornets have already killed all the honey bees in China? I mean, isn't that what this article will lead my Americans to believe will surely happen here? I decided to search for news on the current status of honey bees in China and found an article that claimed their biggest threat wasn't these hornets, but the evasion of European honey bees.

You're absolutely right, however. Asking the wrong questions or sharing anything that doesn't support the narrative can get you tagged as a troll, especially when groupies are present.

Is it possible that they were imported here to control another species and it got out of hand like what happened when TAMU imported the fire ants here to control the boll weevils?

I don't think so their threat to the bee industry is too well known. One report that I read said they came on a ship from China.

My understanding is that fire ants first arrived on ship that was harbored in Mobile, AL.
