Man that is a bummer. Losing a pet that has been around for that long is a tough deal.
Glad to hear it was quick, but it still isn't easy. RIP Bailey

Appreciate it guys.

Hate to say it but I believe that’s the best way to go taking your best friend to the vet knowing your going to have to make a incredible hard decision on putting them down is damn tough. Best wishes

Dang! Hate to hear that. After 11 yrs, we lost ours last Oct and the hurt is still terrible. The wife doesn't know it yet, but she's getting a new one tomarrow. Hopefully love will replace some of the pain. Tell your wife she has our prayers.

It is always tough, but even more so now. Tell your wife the THF feels her pain and prays for her comfort.

Yeah, no doubt.

I dont know if we should look for another dog, or just hold off. She missed him this morning....I could hear her from downstairs. She probably woke up hoping it was just a dream. Thoughts animal lovers. I'm not an animal person.
