I have never seen a donkey, llama, mule or guard dog that could run down a healthy coyote. Greyhounds can and foxhounds of various breeds is all I have seen run down coyotes. It may take the hounds an hour to over half a day to do so. Greyhounds run by sight so have to run coyotes in open country of cultivated fields. Adios, Gary

I like the idea of organized hunts. I know several people who would love to come down and hunt them. Especially during local coyote hunting contest. I know snares are effective, but I've never been a big fan of them. But I've spent many hunts with a couple of good mouth calls and being able to call them in is such a thrill. Lot's of people who want to use their night vision, thermal optics nowadays too.

I run 4 Jenny donkeys with my calves and haven't lost one yet. Haven't seen a coyote in my cattle pasture in quite awhile. They also try to kick my German Shepherd through the fence. I did find a dead coyote in my pasture after I got the Jenny's, didn't see them kill it but it wasn't shot for what it's worth.
There is also a high fenced black buck operation just around the corner from me and he runs Jenny's with his.

Miles not at all. Jenny donkeys, large ones will run off and kill coyotes or dogs that look like them. Mostly they are good at chasing them away. Snares are good. But they catch all. Our neighbor had 2 donkeys. They will also chase deer away. I've seen it a few times. Snares are more efficient.

Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it. Don't text and drive.

This is number 4 this year with snares. I have had guard dogs, donkeys and llamas and the only sure fire way to get rid of them is snares.
