My friend JKC Kirk passed away on Jan 28th unexpectedly, I text him on occasion to see how he is doing. Last I heard from him was January, I recently sent him some fishing pics of the fish I had been catching. I thought it was a bit weird that he had not replied because he always replies. I was expecting a text that he was on his way to join me fishing.
Instead his wife had checked his phone last night and texted me the news. I am not going to lie it felt like some one had just kicked me in the gut!!!!
I didn't know him a long time but the time I did we had some good times. So I will honor my friend Kirk by telling some of his crazy stories every year while drinking some cold beer by the camp fire . I know he would like that.
So if you get a chance turn up a beverage of your choice for Kirk

Sorry for your loss.
Been a year since I lost my best friend of 42 years. It is rough. I still cant get myself to remove his contact from my favorites on my phone. When my contacts come up on my truck screen I can see his picture on his contact. Sometimes seeing it makes me sad, sometimes it makes me think of the crazy [censored] we've gone through and makes me laugh.
