Nagoya 1st series Type 14 Nambu made in March 1943.

If it's your Mom's pistol chances are someone in your family served in the Pacific Theatre in WW2? Dad, Uncle, Grandpa?

It's a war trophy.

Earl

Don't let her sell it! That's too cool of a piece to get rid of....hang onto it for your kids one day.

Old Western Scrounger used to sell 8mm Nambu rounds. Maybe they still do. It's really a fun pistol to shoot, accurate and very light recoil (the round is rather anemic). If it was a war trophy from someone else in my family, I'd keep it for sure. Earl

Were it me I'd try to find out who brought it home. If it's a family earned war trophy, I'd give Mom some money, clean and lube it, and keep it. If it came home from a pawn shop, sell it for her. Looks like you can hook the water hose to the back of it. Cool squirt pistol.
