Got busy at the ranch Friday afternoon and didn't make it out to the blind so I picked up the thermal about 10 and stepped out on the front porch and there was a big hog at the 200 yard feeder. Grabbed the ear protection, put on the snake boots and grabbed the Bog Pod and headed out the door. Slipped down to about 100 yards away and shot, he took off but I knew he was hit hard because of the way he was running. I watched him until I couldn't and when I swung right there were 5 deer watching him too. They started heading towards where I'd last seen him and stomping and staring so I figured he was down. I went and got the 4-wheeler and the spotlight and rode all over the place looking for him but couldn't find him since the grass is getting high. So Saturday morning I was mowing the fenceline and spotted him in the trees. He was a big barrel-chested thing.
