Our Sherwin Williams sales rep is taking me and a coworker on a guided crappie fishing trip tomorrow morning on Cedar Creek Lake (guide Lane Palmer). Think we will get to pull it off? looks like we might be good till about noon then storms hit (we fish from 7 am till 11-12. I hope we can catch a few. I'll post up some pics tomorrow. Maybe even a play by play. We'll see.

I'm hitting Guntersville in the morning. It's the cold that is scaring me.

coffee spelled backwards is eeffoc. I don't give eeffoc until I have my morning coffee.

If you get to go Lane will definitely put you on some fish, you can count on that.

Fishing in the rain can be the best fishing. That has been my experience.

I know the crappie are already wet and dont care if it rains, blah blah but I also know if lightning is headed our way, he's taking me back to the ramp. I live on the lake, I have many opportunities to fish, not gonna get struck by lightning. scared

I wanna go tomorrow or Sunday but aint going to do it. May fish from the bank between storms but last I heard they are calling for 1" of rain tomorrow morning through midday and then severe stuff Saturday night into Sunday. Would love to hit some of my crappie holes tomorrow as I am sure they are loading up with fish right about now but I don't play around with lightning. Just got done walking one of the creeks and saw several good Bass on beds but didn't mess with them. Im sure the rain will flush them out tomorrow before I can go back and play with them.

Hope you get to go.

For answers like this, I consult the man upstairs.
Rumor is he is a fan of fishermen, fellowship and folks that are appreciative and enjoy all he provides.

Still a chance you'll get rained out, I believe you'll at least increase the odds in your favor.

The weatherman is seldom right, I have missed a few hunting and fishing trips over the years based on a “forecast” but not anymore.
No reason to miss out on a chance to fish or hunt based on the weather man any longer as long as you have a cell phone, it’s easy to keep an eye on the radar and get off the water in time if bad stuff is coming, I do it all the time.

Enjoy yourself and have fun, the fish are biting well.
